IN CHARACTER

Character Name: Gwen Stacy (Clone)
Canon: Marvel Comics (Earth-1610)
Canon Point: Ultimate Spider-Man #127, before she makes it back to the Parker house

In-Game Tattoo Placement: Collarbones. Similar to this
Current Health/Status: Alive and asleep, probably in an alley somewhere. Joined with a symbiote. More notes on that in species.
Age: 16-ish
Species: Human, but currently joined with a symbiote. In the Ultimate Marvel universe, the symbiote commonly known at Carnage in the main Marvel U was created in a lab and comprised of a bunch of people's DNA. It was incomplete and so sucked the life out of people in order to survive. One of these people was the original Gwen Stacy.

The symbiote itself doesn't seem to have much sentience. It has some of Peter Parker's memories and, after killing Gwen, is able to create a complete molecular copy of her with all her memories to act as its host and keep it alive. Later in canon, Gwen is separated from the symbiote with no seeming after-effects and the symbiote itself is absorbed by a similar being before it's able to develop into something other than an entity focused on survival.

Content Warnings: death, clones, mentions of suicidal thoughts, alien symbiotes??

History: og gwen and clone gwen

CRAU History and Impact: N/A
Personality:
'Assertive' is probably an understatement when it comes to Gwen Stacy. In-your-face and not afraid to call people out on their bullshit, she is one tough chick. She's a punk, and not just in the way she dresses. She puts up a tough front and is rather confrontational with people she doesn't know. So confrontational, in fact, that in one of her first appearances, she pulls a knife on one of the school bullies. In the middle of a crowded hallway. In the middle of the school between classes. Needless to say, this plan lands her in a lot of trouble. She was also expelled from at least one school before for reasons that we're never given and it's fairly easy to see why. She snarks at everyone, even going as far as to give lip to teachers when she thinks the situation calls for it.

This is mostly because Gwen is incredibly opinionated and will make sure everyone knows what she thinks of a topic. She's actually a rather deep thinker, too. Her very first appearance in the comics is a few pages of her giving a big speech about the mutants, superpowers and why people shouldn't be afraid of humans becoming extinct.

Despite her rough exterior, Gwen's actually a very fragile individual. She's easily upset by certain things and has absolutely no idea how to deal with intense emotional situations. Her first instinct when things get too tough is to run away from what's getting intense which has led to her actually running away from home a few times.

She absolutely hates letting people know she's hurting, though. When she shows up on Peter's lawn one time, clearly thinking of inflicting self-harm or maybe even killing herself, she makes a joke of it, asking Peter if he minds her committing suicide on his front lawn. When Peter finds her crying in a dumpster when her parents start splitting up, she insists she's fine and makes terrible jokes, even though she's still crying and barely able to keep it together.

There's very few people she trusts in the world, but once she does trust someone, she gets incredibly and fiercely protective of them. They are her family - and a better family than her blood family ever was - and there is nothing she wouldn't do for her family. She'll do things and say things that can seem sort of mean sometimes, like she'll punch Peter when he's being and idiot and she'll make fun of Johnny and Bobby, but they're her bros. She and MJ are the only ones allowed to mess with them and anyone that crosses her better beware because she is one fierce bitch who doesn't afraid of anything.

Sort of going off from that, those people Gwen trusts? They're the ones she lets herself relax around. Never completely, but they're the ones she acts like a (relatively) normal girl around. She lets herself be stupid around them and even though she values their opinions, she feels free to be herself. Even if that's often a slightly toned-down version of the assertive girl she is to the rest of the world, it's different around her friends. She has nothing to prove to them and so she can just chill out and doesn't have to be on the defensive around them.

Abilities/Powers/Weaknesses & Warping:
Gwen herself has no special abilities as she's human. With the symbiote living in her, however, she does have a couple. The first is the ability to bring out the symbiote form. (Gwen's the red one.) With this, she's got access to Carnage's super strength, nasty teeth, and ability to, uh. Squish? Because the symbiote basically acts like a being made out of non-Newtonian fluid, changing size when necessary and being able to kinda squoosh bits of itself out in protecting or as like a grappling hook type thing similar to Spider-Man's webs. Gwen can also partially transform into this, with only her face or face and a couple limbs, etc.

The symbiote has other abilities that appear in canon that we didn't get a chance to see if Gwen can use (since she spent such little time with it on page). Namely, shapeshifting and sucking the life out of people. The former only happens for brief moments as Carnage wears other faces mostly to lure victims somewhere. The latter was, before Gwen, how it stayed alive--by literally draining people of life until they were a desiccated husk.

Gwen has very little control over any of this at the moment, with Carnage coming out when she's in trouble or she needs it, and her having to concentrate to shove it away. I think it'd be fun to play with her learning to control this a little, maybe accidentally eating someone at some point if another character is game, and possibly dealing with the fact that she has a symbiote with the sentience of a cat living in her head.

As Carnage's powers aren't super game-breaking, and the reality of living with/as the monster that killed her is kind of a terrifying thing for Gwen, I'm tempted to say her powers don't need much warping, though I'm totally open to it if y'all disagree! One idea I have for that would be making that so that Gwen, like Carnage alone without a host, would need to consume life force to survive. Maybe not enough to kill characters since that would get. Very messy fast. But enough to theoretically shave a couple years off of someone's lifespan or, to go in a more canon-like direction, make them dehydrated/devoid of nutrients enough that they'd need to bulk up on vitamins and electrolyte drinks at best, and be on an IV afterwards at worst.

Are you comfortable with prominent elements of fourth-walling?: yup!
What themes of horror/psychological thrillers do you enjoy the most?: i love the "something is slightly off and you can't quite tell what" aspect that comes in a lot of these things, exploring the "this used to be normal" and "this was never normal it just vaguely looks like it", things that deal with the concept of identity, things that question what really makes a monster, and things that deal with choices between two terrible things e.g. saving someone's life at the expense of another.
Is there anything in particular you absolutely need specific content warnings for?: Depictions of suicide. I'm generally okay so long as I have warning.
Additional Information: If y'all aren't cool with Gwen having the symbiote with her, I can easily shift her canon point to something else. Basically everything in the app will be the same except all the Carnage stuff can just be tossed.
